Installing and connecting MaxVPN on Android TV

The MaxVPN app on Android TV and Google TV is the same as the Android app and works with the remote. The app is not on Google Play; install the APK file using one of the three methods below.

Method 1: The Downloader app (no computer needed)

1. From the TV's Play Store, install the Downloader app (orange, made by AFTVnews).
2. Read the APK file's address on the Android TV download page, type it into Downloader, and select Go.
3. After the download, Downloader opens the install screen by itself; go to the "Install" section.

Method 2: USB flash drive

1. Download the APK file from the Android TV download page on your phone or computer.
2. Copy the file to a flash drive formatted as FAT32 or exFAT (not NTFS), and plug the drive into the TV.
3. Open the file with a file manager app (for example, FX File Explorer or X-plore).

Method 3: Send it wirelessly from your phone

1. Install the Send Files to TV app on both your phone and your TV; both must be on the same Wi-Fi.
2. Send the APK file from your phone to the TV.

Install (all three methods)

1. The first time, allow installing from unknown sources: Settings → Device Preferences (or System) → Security & Restrictions → Unknown sources, and turn it on for the app that opens the file (Downloader or the file manager). On older versions: Settings → Security → Unknown sources.
2. Open the APK file with the OK button on the remote and select Install.

The file is about 91 MB, usually between 85 and 93 MB; the device may show a slightly bigger or smaller number, and that is normal. If it's much smaller (for example half of this), the download is incomplete and you need to download it again. To update, do the same thing with the new file, and don't uninstall the previous version, so your settings are kept.

Log in and connect

1. Open MAX VPN from the apps list.
2. Enter your subscription username and password. If typing with the remote is hard, use the Google TV app on your phone as a keyboard, or select "Log in with pairing code" («ورود با کد جفت‌سازی») in the app and enter the code from your user panel.
3. If a Connection request message appears, press OK on the remote.

If it doesn't work

• The file doesn't show up on the flash drive? Plug the drive into a different USB port and make sure it isn't formatted as NTFS.
• The warning about installing from unknown sources is normal; only continue if you got the file from the official page of this site.
• Seeing the message "Maximum number of logins reached" («تعداد دفعات ورود به حداکثر رسیده»)? Remove connected devices.
• Still not working? Get help from "Online support" («پشتیبانی آنلاین») and include your TV model.
