Clearing the app's data ("Clear data") on Android phones fixes problems such as MaxVPN not opening, freezing, or not working properly. This logs you out of your account; before you start, have your subscription username and password at hand.

Step 1: Open the app info screen

Press and hold the MaxVPN icon for a few seconds and tap App info (usually marked with ⓘ).

If this option isn't there:

  1. Open your phone's Settings.
  2. Tap Apps.
  3. Find MaxVPN and tap it; if you can't find it, search with the magnifying glass at the top of the screen.

Step 2: Clear the data

  1. Tap Storage.
  2. Tap Clear data; on some phones it's called Clear storage.
  3. Confirm the prompt.

Clear cache is different and isn't needed for this.

Step 3: Log in again

Open MaxVPN and log in with your subscription username and password.
