If MaxVPN on Android closes by itself, freezes, or stops working, follow the steps below in order and try again after each step; once the problem is fixed, you don't need the rest. This guide is only for the Android app.

Before you start

  • Android 8 or later
  • At least 400 MB of free space

Steps

  1. Close the app completely from the recent apps list, wait a few seconds, and open it again.
  2. Try a different internet connection: mobile data instead of Wi-Fi, or the other way around, or a SIM card from a different carrier.
  3. In the app, choose a different server or service.
  4. If your phone's storage is almost full, free up space until at least 400 MB is free.
  5. Uninstall or turn off any other VPN or anti-filter apps you don't use; several VPNs interfere with each other.
  6. If your subscription's device capacity is full, remove an extra device: Remove connected devices.
  7. Install the latest version of MaxVPN for Android.
  8. Clear the app's data: Clearing MaxVPN's data. This logs you out of your account; have your subscription username and password at hand before you do it, and log in again afterward.
  9. Try again a little later or at a different time of day.
